Building a stronger future for Aliabad

Village Aliabad has no medical facility and not even a doctor. In an emergency, families currently have to hire a jeep at a cost of PKR 10,000 to 15,000 just to reach the nearest hospital, with the nearest major facility in Abbottabad roughly 70 km and 3 hours away over difficult mountain roads. This delay puts lives at risk, especially for serious and pregnancy-related cases. This initiative will provide a basic ambulance (carry van) fully equipped with a stretcher, oxygen cylinder, suction machine, first aid kit, and BP monitor, giving the village its first dedicated emergency transport and cutting the cost and delay families currently face.

While many students successfully complete Matriculation, the journey often ends there. Due to financial hardship, transportation challenges, lack of nearby colleges, and other socio-economic factors, an estimated 85–90% of students are unable to continue their education beyond school. Aliabad has no local college facilities, forcing students to travel or relocate to urban centres to pursue further education. For many families, these costs are beyond reach. This scholarship programme will support deserving students in intermediate, college, vocational, and university education by helping cover tuition fees, books, examination costs, transportation expenses, and other educational needs. Every scholarship represents an opportunity to transform not only a student's future but also the future of an entire family.

Many students in our area attend schools where qualified teachers and educational resources are limited. Despite having the talent and determination to succeed, many struggle to compete academically. This initiative aims to provide free tuition and coaching support for up to 100 students through supplementary classes, exam preparation, career counselling, and university guidance. Our goal is simple: no student's future should be limited by geography or lack of opportunity.

Widows and orphaned children are often among the most vulnerable members of society. Financial hardship can significantly affect access to education, healthcare, and essential household needs. This initiative seeks to provide year-round support to deserving families through educational assistance, household support, emergency aid, and seasonal welfare programmes. Our objective is to ensure that vulnerable families receive meaningful support while maintaining dignity and independence.

Many students lack access to mentors who can guide them through admissions, scholarships, career planning, and educational opportunities. Through personal networks, professional experience, and community connections, AHEAD Foundation volunteers provide mentorship to deserving students, helping them make informed decisions regarding their academic and professional futures.

Beyond routine medical camps and medicine drives, some families face urgent, life-threatening medical needs that require significant one-time funding — a surgery, a procedure, a hospital admission — that they simply cannot afford. This initiative raises and directs funds toward these individual emergency cases as they arise, so treatment isn't delayed by cost. Every case supported is tracked here.

Sustainable development requires sustainable livelihoods. This initiative helps deserving families and young people build lasting income sources — through livestock and small productive assets, vocational training, employment links, and entrepreneurship support — so households can support themselves long-term rather than depend on repeated aid.

For generations, Independence Day celebrations were among the most anticipated events in Aliabad. Families, students, elders, and youth gathered together to celebrate the country's independence, strengthen social bonds, and discuss issues affecting the village. Over the past several years, these celebrations have gradually disappeared, resulting in the loss of an important platform that once united the community. This initiative aims to revive that tradition through educational activities, youth engagement programmes, recognition of local achievements, community dialogue, and celebrations that inspire future generations while strengthening social cohesion.

During the holy month of Ramzan 2026, AHEAD Foundation provided direct financial assistance to deserving families facing economic hardship. Through community verification and volunteer outreach, support was delivered to 48 families across the area. This initiative demonstrated the strength of collective giving and established the foundation's commitment to transparent, community-led welfare programmes.
